Position: Phlebotomy Technician I

This position works within one of Cooper’s California Cryobank Reproductive Tissue Recovery Laboratories and is focused on providing excellent phlebotomy services to the clientele we service. Performs phlebotomy, manages the donor desk, and supports the laboratory by performing the following duties.

    Skills:

    Ability to speak and write English; communicate effectively and professionally with clients and external contacts; read and interpret documents, such as procedure manuals; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and employees.
  • Mathematical

    Skills:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Other

    Skills and Abilities:

    Excellent customer service skills; strong attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; high level of interpersonal skills to interact with peers and management; excellent organizational skills; ability to maintain confidentiality; and ability to travel as needed. Other

Experience

0-2 Years of experience performing phlebotomy.

Education

Phlebotomy Certificate, where applicable, and GED or High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree in science, preferred but not required.

Compensation Range

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $18.5 - $24 per hour. The actual base pay includes many factors, and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
