Deliver Lifesaving Blood Across Portland with the Red Cross (age 18+) Referral

Are you a dependable, safe and courteous driver who can help us make important blood deliveries?

• Transport life-saving blood products from Red Cross collection sites to processing labs and/or to hospitals, using a Red Cross-owned vehicle or your own personal vehicle.
• Deliver supplies to blood collection sites, pick up empty boxes from hospitals, complete required paperwork, and obtain necessary signatures.

• Have a valid state driver s license and proof of insurance
• Have 3 years driving experience and a clean driving record (an MVR check will be completed as part of the interview process)
• Can lift up to 45 lbs.

Why is this position so important?
By delivering blood, platelets, or other blood products, you will be the critical link between blood donors and blood recipients. Our primary need is for afternoon and weekends.

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Each volunteer shift you take is another opportunity to help save lives.
