Food Service Attendant – Day shift and on‑call at Providence Milwaukie Hospital

Provide a high level of customer service to patients, families, volunteers, physicians, and staff. Adhere to the Service Excellence Standards of Behavior and all applicable County/State health department, hospital, and department standards, policies, and procedures.

• Deliver food and beverage service in a healthcare environment, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of service ware, equipment, and ware‑washing areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation regulations applicable to health care settings.
• Maintain a positive, patient‑focused attitude while interacting with patients, volunteers, and staff.
• Assist with meal delivery, dietary restriction compliance, and special therapeutic diets.
• Perform cashiering functions as needed and operate the food service operation efficiently.

• National Food Handler Card issued upon hire.

• 1 year experience in retail dining or patient dining with emphasis on customer service and food handling.
• 1 year computer, patient interaction, and food service experience.
• Experience in a healthcare facility or large food service operation.
• Experience in a dietary kitchen using therapeutic diets.
• Cashiering experience.
• Barista experience.

• Salary:
  Base pay only; additional compensation possible for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
