Admitting Representative

Provider: Providence Health & Services
Location: Providence Milwaukie Hospital, Milwaukie, OR
Schedule: Per‑Diem, Variable shift (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
Pay Range: $19.40 – $29.08 per hour
Job Summary: The Admitting Representative secures appropriate patient account reimbursement by collecting complex demographic, insurance, and medical information and ensuring accurate, timely documentation. This role supports Providence’s revenue cycle system and enhances the overall patient care experience.
- Collects and verifies patient demographic, insurance, and medical information.
- Documents patient data in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborates with revenue cycle and clinical teams to resolve billing and authorization issues.
- Maintains compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- National Certification of CHAA upon hire.
- At least 给_lab_years> 3 years experience in patient access or similar business office setting.
- Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical billing codes.
- Minimum 1 year experience using Epic electronic health record.
