Job Description
Join our team as a Housekeeper, where you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hospital's linens. Your day will start by handling and transporting dirty linens to be cleaned and then managing the storage and distribution of clean linens throughout the hospital.
Responsibilities- Load dirty linens into a truck for cleaning and unload clean linens into the storage room.
- Stock linens carts and ensure hospital floors' storage closets are at par level.
- Track, record, and enter the location, amount, and types of linens at each delivery point.
- Utilize an iPad to scan bins as they come and go.
- Distribute cleaned linens to various floors and stock closets, particularly focusing on the 9th floor.
- Work independently, using quick thinking to manage daily tasks.
- Experience in stocking, housekeeping, custodial, or general labor roles.
- Ability to stand for the entirety of an 8-hour shift.
- Personable with effective communication skills to collaborate with hospital staff.
Skills & Qualifications
- Comfortable using technology such as an iPad for inventory tracking.

WorkEnvironment
Work hours are from 5am to 1:30pm, with a rotation every other week to include weekends. The role is based in the hospital's basement linen department, involving significant physical activity such as pushing, pulling, and walking throughout the hospital.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
