Details
  • Compensation: Hourly base pay of $16.30 per hour plus tips. Compensation based on experience, education, location.
  • Work Schedule: Nights and overnights.
  • Benefits: Eligible for accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine, and 401(k) retirement savings. Eligibility depends on classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Seasonal/temporary roles not eligible.
Summary

The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. Duties include parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, assisting guests with luggage, and managing vehicle and hotel door access.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients. Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor. Uses guest last names during interactions. (

  • Use salutations of the day, welcome guests to the location, practice proper phone etiquette, and be available in designated areas when not completing tasks. (
    10%)
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously. Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed. Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests. (
    20%)
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries. Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and main attractions. Deliver messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested. Shuttle guests to approved places. (
    10%)
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival. Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys; collect claim checks before issuing keys. Consistently complete and maintain ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt. Consistently complete location on all key tags and calculate revenue for vehicles when needed. (

Qualifications Education
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.
  • Valid driver’s license for the state where applying.
Work Experience
  • One month of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Skills
  • Ability to read and write standard English language.
  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Write simple correspondence.
  • Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients, and employees.
  • Add and subtract three‑digit numbers and perform operations with U.S. currency.
  • Understand 24‑hour and military time systems.
  • Understand rates applicable to time passed.
  • Operation of a manual transmission desirable.
  • Perform parallel parking.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods and may need to run, walk, handle objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific visual abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Lifting Requirements
  • Up to 100 pounds occasionally; up to 50 pounds frequently; up to 20 pounds constantly.
Working Environment

Majority of work outdoors for extended periods, subject to extreme heat and cold weather. Weather protection may be provided.

Travel

Up to 5% travel may be required.
