As Canapii scales, it is looking for a software engineer to join the team and work with a diverse and energetic international team across the offices in all regions. We are looking for a talented person who is versatile, with the ability to contribute ideas and deliver to a high standard. Self-motivation, independence, resourcefulness, creativity and ability to work to realistic but tight deadlines.

As a team player, you should also possess good interpersonal and communication skills and be comfortable working in a cross-cultural environment.

A key part of the role is working with other Canapii team members designing and delivering tooling and processes for our developers, while overseeing all parts of the software development lifecycle of products on iOS, Android and HTML5 from code to production.

You will be responsible for developing and designing a highly scalable system architecture, ensuring responsiveness of applications, working closely with the development team, running tests and debugging, among other duties. We expect the candidate to show willingness to grow beyond current skillset and keep customer, business and security in mind while writing code.

• 5 years’ + experience in a commercial environment doing full-stack or back-end software development
• Degree in Computing or a related technical field
• Great written and verbal communication in English
• Have a “can do” attitude
• Delivering projects and KPIs on-time with high quality
• Can work in a fast-paced environment and consider performance, usability and security while coding
• Experience/education demonstrating a track record in building web platforms including experience in Dev Ops, software architecture, JavaScript/Type Script code proficiency
• Familiar with AWS Services, Serverless, No
  
  SQL, Mobile Apps, Ionic/Cordova/Angular
• Knowledge and experience with AWS services is a plus
• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools
• Ability to learn new technologies/skills independently through online resources

Experience developing applications in all applicable platforms is preferred.

You will currently be working remotely for this position. We are looking for people based in the Philippines.
