About the Role

This onsite UI and UX Product Designer position in Portland is ideal for professionals who want to shape digital experiences from concept to launch. The designer will work across research, interaction design, visual design, and cross-functional collaboration. This role requires someone who can transform complex insights into intuitive product experiences that support both business needs and user goals. The position has no remote option and requires full-time onsite presence.

You will lead UX and UI design projects from initial discovery to final delivery. This includes aligning design decisions with user needs and company objectives and ensuring continuity throughout the entire design lifecycle.

You will conduct and analyze user research to uncover meaningful insights. These insights will guide product strategy and inform design decisions. Research methods may include interviews, surveys, usability testing, or stakeholder discussions.

You will create user flows, wireframes, journey maps, prototypes, and visual concepts. You will also develop production-ready assets that guide engineering teams through build and implementation.

You will define interaction patterns and contribute to the DTNA design system to maintain consistency across brand touchpoints. Your work will help strengthen visual standards and improve the product experience across platforms.

You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure all assets are developer-ready and accurately implemented. You will participate in design reviews and workshops and present design rationale clearly to internal stakeholders.

You will champion UX principles, usability standards, and inclusive design practices. Your perspectives will help elevate the design culture within the organization.

A bachelor’s degree in UX, Interaction Design, Product Design, Visual Design, or a related field is required. Candidates should have three to five years of experience in UI and UX or product design.

A strong portfolio of shipped or production-ready digital products is required. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

Candidates must be proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools. Experience with motion design or animation for storytelling is a strong advantage.

Applicants should demonstrate a solid understanding of user-centered design processes and usability principles. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to manage projects independently when needed.

Exceptional candidates may have experience designing for automotive or mobility products, or other complex digital ecosystems. Familiarity with 3D design tools such as Cinema 4D, Blender, or Alias is a plus. Experience working within real-time or embedded environments such as Kanzi, Unity, or Unreal is helpful. Awareness of accessibility guidelines and inclusive design principles is valuable, along with experience mentoring junior designers.

This role is fully onsite in Portland. The environment is collaborative and fast paced, and designers are encouraged to participate in workshops and design critiques. The team values creativity, structured thinking, and measurable design outcomes.
