Overview
The Portland Group of Companies is looking for a full-time IT Assistant to assist our IT Administrator. Our Head Office is situated outside Durbanville. We service 3 outside plants from here. This position will report to the IT Administrator.
Responsibilities- Provide IT support and troubleshoot PBX issues.
- Resolve network connectivity issues.
- Maintain and troubleshoot camera systems.
- Set up, repair, and maintain computers and hardware.
- Conduct IT infrastructure maintenance (network, cameras, alarms).
- Handle printer-related issues.
- Manage IT equipment issuing and returns.
- Log IT incidents and resolutions.
- Install new network, camera, and alarm infrastructure.
- Physically fit to work on heights, etc.
- At least 1-3 years of IT experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills (network, PBX, cameras).
- Own transport (non-negotiable).
- RSA citizen with no criminal record.
This position offers a market-related salary, dependent on experience. Employees become members of a provident fund after 3 months of probation. Working hours are from 7:00 to 17:00, and Fridays until 15:00.
