We’re hiring a Lead Engineer to design and build Zelody’s orchestration framework. This is a hands‑on, senior IC role that combines system architecture with practical problem‑solving. You’ll work alongside our CTO and lean team of AI engineers, collaborating on LLM‑driven data agents and designing scalable orchestration workflows.

• Architect the orchestration layer: Design agentic workflows that interpret and transform data across multiple systems.
• Build out core components: Develop event‑driven services, orchestration pipelines, and data‑mapping framework.
• Integrate AI agents: Collaborate with AI engineers to embed LLM‑powered automation into routing, normalization, and workflow decisioning.
• Scale from 0 to 1: Influence key technology choices and lay the foundation for a robust, enterprise‑grade platform beyond the current alpha product.
• Ensure compliance & security: Implement best practices for handling regulated financial data (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI DSS).

• 5+ years engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Demonstrable AI first mindset with personal and team success building AI applications.
• Proven experience architecting and building scalable, distributed systems, preferably in fintech, banking, or payments.
• Familiarity with ETL, API‑first architectures, event‑driven systems, and Type Script/Node.js.
• Expertise with strong experience in modern cloud‑based architectures, preferably AWS.
• Background in highly regulated industries, working with compliance frameworks.
• Ability to balance fast execution with long‑term scalability and security in a startup environment.

• Understanding of event‑driven or workflow orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with Python for AI model integration or data transformations.
• Familiarity with financial data exchange formats (e.g., ISO 20022, NACHA, JSON).
• Customer‑facing experience in technical integration or solutions delivery.
• Fintech, payments, or core banking background.
• Prior startup experience (0‑1 product scaling).
