This Sr. IDP role must be capable of leading presales engagements, architect solutions and deliver enterprise data solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure and Databricks. This role combines technical leadership, client engagement, and strategic partnership development—especially with Databricks and Microsoft—to drive business outcomes and innovation in our Data and AI client engagements.

• Lead presales engagements, including requirements gathering, solution architecture, sizing, and cost estimation for Intelligent Data Platform projects.
• Design and present tailored solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, addressing both business and technical needs.
• Develop proposals, Statements of Work (SoWs), and RFP/RFI responses with competitive positioning.
• Conduct solution demos, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and technical workshops for clients.
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand client goals and pain points, and create comprehensive technical proposals and implementation roadmaps.
• Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities and optimizing service offerings.
• Build and nurture strategic relationships with Databricks and Microsoft, ensuring deep integration and joint value propositions.
• Represent the organization in partner workshops, joint go-to-market initiatives, and technical communities.
• Lead consulting engagements to assess current-state data maturity and define modernization roadmaps.
• Advise on optimal design and implementation of data pipelines, automation strategies, and integration of AI/ML models for real-time or batch processing.

• Management Consulting & SI Experience.
• Experience architecting and delivering end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric (One Lake, Data Factory, Spark, Data Warehousing, Real-Time Analytics) and Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, ML/AI workloads) required.
• Hands-on experience with data pipeline design, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and real-time analytics.
• Familiarity with governance tools (Microsoft Purview, Unity Catalog), open data formats (Delta Lake, Parquet), and data mesh principles.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and customer-facing skills.
• Experience building and maintaining strategic partnerships with technology vendors (Databricks, Microsoft).
• Ability to develop reusable frameworks, reference architectures, and accelerators for data solutions.
• Comfortable leading technical teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Microsoft Azure cloud design, development and deployment experience.
• Snowflake experience would be an asset in this role.

Compensation at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Avanade provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
