Principal SAP ABAP Developer

This position is designated as a hybrid role based out of our headquarters near Portland, Oregon. The current expectation is for employees to work onsite four days per week, subject to change based on business needs. This in-office requirement may be adjusted at the discretion of the company.

Although we're an apparel and footwear-focused company, technology is central to everything we do. CSC Digital Technology (CDT) teams enable technology infrastructure across four global brands, an e-commerce platform, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. Our IT team manages and supports the global SAP landscape across all channels‑e-commerce, wholesale, and retail brick-and-mortar. We focus on delivering secure, high-performing solutions through:

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer to join our IT team supporting global SAP operations. This role will focus on delivering high-quality ABAP development across both
ECC
andS/4

HANA
environments. The developer will play a key role in supporting the
Order to Cash (OTC)and
Procure to Pay (P2P)functional areas, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.

When we transition to S/4

HANA, this position will serve as a
technical lead
, guiding the migration strategy and helping to
disposition the ECC codebase
for a smooth and efficient move to the new platform. The ideal candidate will bring deep ABAP expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset to drive innovation and maintain system integrity during this critical transformation.

• Develop and maintain ABAP programs in SAP ECC and S/4
  
  HANA environments.
• Support Order to Cash (OTC) and Procure to Pay (P2P) functional areas with robust technical solutions.
• Lead technical efforts during the S/4
  
  HANA migration, including disposition of ECC codebase.
• Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable ABAP solutions.
• Ensure quality through code reviews, performance tuning, and best practices.
• Mentor and guide offshore development teams, providing training and technical leadership.
• Participate in all phases of SAP implementations, from design to deployment.

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

• Deep expertise in ABAP development for SAP ECC and S/4
  
  HANA environments.
• Experience with S/4
  
  HANA backend development.
• Extensive experience with IDoc processing, especially inbound sales orders.
• Proven ability to implement multi-echelon inventory concepts in code.
• Minimum 10 years of SAP ECC Supply Chain experience and participation in 6+ SAP implementations.
• Familiarity with AFS industry solution and performance optimization techniques.
