About Multitude Insights
Our flagship product,
BLTN
, is a game-changer. It transforms siloed law‑enforcement bulletins and investigative intel into a searchable, AI‑powered network that connects cities, counties, and states. Agencies use BLTN to create, share, and link critical information in real time—surfacing patterns that analysts and detectives often miss and accelerating case resolution across jurisdictions.
We’re growing fast, backed by top-tier investors, and expanding nationally with customers from Boston to Seattle to Orange County. Our mission is simple and profound:
We give law enforcement the clarity and confidence to protect the public. Our technology turns information into awareness and awareness into action.
If you are driven to build category-defining technology that directly impacts community safety and the administration of justice—and you want to join a team on a hyper‑growth trajectory—this is the place to do the most meaningful work of your career.
Multitude Core ValuesWe are looking for individuals who deeply resonate with these themes and are motivated by a set of shared values. Candidates who demonstrate a strong alignment with our core values are a fundamental culture fit and are the people we are excited to work with.
Trust:
Protect the trust, never break it We respect the profession of law enforcement and operate with absolute fidelity to the rule of law. We protect the trust our customers place in us, and we never break it.
Duty:
Mission and impact come first Our customers took an oath to serve their communities. We serve them with the same duty‑first mindset. Mission and impact come before business.
Urgency:
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast We move with urgency and method. Methodical doesn’t mean slow — slow is smooth, smooth is fast. We ship professional‑grade software quickly and consistently.
We are looking for a Senior/Lead Product Designer who operates like an owner—someone who blends design systems thinking with the empathy and precision required to deliver truly mission‑critical experiences. You’ll lead the design direction for BLTN, shaping everything from product vision and workflows to interface polish and usability standards.
You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales to translate complex workflows into intuitive, high‑clarity design solutions. You’ll ensure that every screen, flow, and interaction reflects the professionalism and trustworthiness expected by law enforcement customers.
This is a startup environment. You’ll be expected to bring structure to ambiguity, advocate for clarity, and move fast without sacrificing quality. No passengers.
Mission ObjectivesThese are the decisive outcomes that define success in the first 12–18 months:
1. Become the User Advocate
Gain a deep understanding of detectives, analysts, and command staff through ride‑alongs, interviews, and workflow observation.
Translate real‑world investigative challenges into intuitive, high‑clarity design solutions that drive measurable user adoption.
Create artifacts—journey maps, workflow diagrams, and mental models—that guide product decisions and maintain alignment across teams.
Champion the voice of the user in every shaping and build cycle, ensuring usability and trust are never compromised.
2. Build a Design System that Scales
Define and implement a unified design system that codifies our visual language, components, and interaction patterns in Figma.
Partner with engineering to ensure the system translates cleanly into reusable, production‑grade components.
Establish governance and documentation to keep the system consistent, accessible, and easy to evolve as we scale across products.
Reduce design‑to‑development friction, accelerating build velocity without sacrificing quality.
3. Uplevel Product Craft & Design Quality
Set the quality bar for all design deliverables—from early concepts to polished production interfaces.
Ensure every workflow is clear, discoverable, and reflects the professionalism expected in public‑safety environments.
Drive continuous refinement through design reviews, heuristics testing, and collaboration with QA and engineering.
