Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Business Systems Analyst to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will serve as the Product Owner, acting as the primary liaison between business users and the technical team. This role involves shaping the product to meet business needs, translating business requirements into user stories, and prioritizing these stories for implementation. Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Product Owner, or in a similar role for 5+ years.
Key Responsibilities- Product Ownership:
Serve as the Product Owner for the assigned product(s), ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs. - Business Liaison:
Work closely with business users to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. - Requirement Translation:
Translate business requirements into clear, detailed, and actionable user stories with acceptance criteria. - Prioritization:
Collaborate with business users to prioritize user stories and features based on business value and technical feasibility. - Documenting Business Processes:
Document existing business processes and envision future state processes using diagrams, mockups, and detailed documentation. - Stakeholder Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with business users, stakeholders, and technical teams. - Monitoring and Metrics:
Monitor existing metrics, develop new metrics, and provide actionable intelligence to stakeholders. - Collaboration and Communication:
Lead requirement gathering sessions, sprint planning, and review meetings. - Technical Proficiency:
Work closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, API engineers, UI/UX developers, and Technical Architects. - Quality Assurance:
Review and validate the developed product to ensure it meets business requirements and quality standards. - Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
- Strong liaison skills to win trust with business partners and translate requirements.
- Ability to liaise with the technical team to translate business requirements to technical requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with business users, developers, and stakeholders.
- Monitor existing metrics and propose new metrics and KPIs.
- Document existing business processes and envision future state processes.
- Review and validate the developed product to ensure it meets business requirements and quality standards.
Any business systems analyst related certification is a plus.
