Power Platform Administrator

The Information Technology Department is looking for a Power Platform Administrator to support the organization in modernizing business processes, improving service delivery, and enabling low-code/no-code solutions across departments. This role will lead the design, development, governance, and support of solutions built with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and related technologies.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with excellent communication, collaboration, and business analysis capabilities. This role requires a highly proactive professional capable of working closely with stakeholders to understand needs, translate them into scalable solutions, and ensure the platform remains secure, governed, and aligned with Metro’s strategic goals.

Solution Design & Development

• Configure Power Platform environment based on best practices.
• Administer Power Apps environments, including creation, security configuration, and connection management.
• Design, build, and maintain applications, workflows, dashboards, and automation using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
• Collaborate with departments to modernize and automate existing manual or legacy processes across Metro departments.
• Create reusable components, templates, and connectors that improve efficiency and consistency.

Platform Governance & Standards

• Establish and maintain best practices, standards, and guidelines for Power Platform development.
• Implement and monitor governance, security, compliance, and data-loss-prevention policies.
• Ensure alignment with Metro's IT policies, cybersecurity requirements, and data management frameworks.

Business Analysis & Collaboration

• Partner with departments to understand business needs, identify opportunities for automation, and define solution requirements.
• Translate non-technical language into clear technical specifications and vice versa.
• Advise stakeholders on capabilities, limitations, and recommended use of Power Platform tools.

Support & Maintenance

• Troubleshoot issues with Power Apps, Power Automate flows, connectors, and integrations.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and usage.
• Conduct regular review of user permissions and access controls.
• Provide user training, documentation, and support to ensure successful adoption.

Integration & Data Management

• Connect solutions to Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, Dataverse, SQL, APIs, and third-party systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and consistency across integrated systems.

Minimum qualifications

• 1-3 years of related professional experience, and
• Bachelor’s degree, or
• Any combination of education, professional, volunteer and lived experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the classification duties and responsibilities.

Hybrid Telework

This position is designated as “hybrid telework.” You will be required to work onsite and at times have the option to work away from your assigned work location. The specific schedule and balance of onsite and telework will be discussed with the hiring manager at the time of offer. Employees must reside in Oregon or Washington to work ase note, the designation of hybrid telework may be subject to change at a future time.
