Production Planning Functional Consultant

We are looking for an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with deep Service Parts Planning (SPP) and Production Planning (PP) expertise. You will own requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, integration, troubleshooting and ongoing support across planning, production, inventory and warehouse processes.

We are looking for an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with deep Service Parts Planning (SPP) and Production Planning (PP) expertise. You will own requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, integration, troubleshooting and ongoing support across planning, production, inventory and warehouse processes.

• Gather business requirements, define scope and design solutions for Service Parts Planning and Production Planning.
• Work with Core Interface (CIF) integration models for master and transactional data between ERP and planning systems.
• Configure bills of distribution, distributed requirements planning (DRP), forecasting models and techniques.
• Configure and customize Planning Service Manager (PSM) services and process profiles; troubleshoot triggers and PSM logs.
• Monitor and resolve integration errors (CIF / RFC monitoring) and support enhancements through BAdI implementations.
• Design tier-down inventory allocation and deployment across the supply network; set stocking decisions from service-level targets and demand.
• Apply BOM, EOQ, safety stock, reorder-point and period-based planning concepts.
• Support approvals and freeze horizons for schedule releases, planned orders and purchase requisitions, plus scheduling agreements between PP and SPP.
• Maintain BOMs (usage, item categories, alternates) and routings; configure planned-to-production order conversion, stock allocation and release strategies supporting warehouse systems.
• Support financial postings from outbound and inbound deliveries tied to production orders.
• Maintain design, configuration, lifecycle and change documentation and functional/technical standards across SPP, SD, MM and PP.

• Strong hands-on Service Parts Planning (SPP) experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Production Planning (PP).
• Experience with CIF integration models and troubleshooting CIF / RFC integrations.
• Planning Service Manager configuration and troubleshooting.
• Bills of distribution, DRP, forecasting, inventory balancing, deployment, EOQ and safety stock planning.
• BOMs, routings, planned orders, production orders, purchase requisitions and scheduling agreements.
• BAdI enhancement experience.
• Integrating production planning with warehouse systems.
• Working knowledge of SD and MM processes.
• Ability to turn business requirements into functional solutions and keep documentation current.

• Deep functional expertise in Service Parts Planning.
• Practical knowledge of supply and inventory planning, planning system integration and warehouse processes.
• Comfortable moving between business requirements and detailed system configuration.
