USI Kibble & Prentice is looking for a Commercial Lines Team Leader in Portland, OR. The role focuses on managing operational activities, ensuring consistent service standards, and leading a team that handles both new and existing client accounts.

Responsible for managing the operational activities of the unit/department to ensure consistent standards of service and professionalism. Required to perform essential functions and meet service standards, best practices, and risk‑management quality‑control standards developed by USI. The position may also involve handling a book of business and adhere to the Account Manager Position description.

• Provide technical expertise in coordinating inside service of clients through sales, account development, and problem solving in accordance with USI core values and standards.
• Contribute information and ideas during strategy meetings related to USI ONE Advantage and the stewardship process.
• Respond to client requests for information, documents, and general insurance inquiries; handle all aspects of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance. Occasional outside service visits may be required.
• Maintain quality control of renewal expirations, ensuring no lapse in coverage and timely renewals.
• Monitor adherence to service standards through KPI reporting.
• Produce and monitor monthly reports to ensure timely policy renewals, invoicing, workload review, and backlog status.
• Identify, plan, and resolve routine department coverage and workload issues, taking necessary action.
• Perform periodic quality audits as needed.
• Maintain accurate client files and documentation, ensuring high accuracy in agency management systems.
• Manage two or more employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, and development.
• Conduct performance reviews, improvement plans, set priorities, develop work plans and schedules, record time and attendance, and approve expense reports.
• Other projects or duties as required.

• 5+ years experience in Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance Agency with comprehensive understanding of all coverage, underwriting, and rating concepts.
• High school graduate; college degree preferred.
• Prior managerial experience preferred; ability to manage others effectively.
• Must hold state Property & Casualty license or be willing to obtain one.
• Hold or pursue industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU.
• Ability to carry out complex tasks with many variables.
• Comfortable with internet‑based programs and intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge;
  Sagitta/Image Right knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal instruction while maintaining high accuracy.
• Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing.
• Maintain cordial relationships with clients, co‑workers, carriers, vendors, and other contacts; work well in a team environment.
• Keep informed about industry information, new products, legislation, coverage, and technology to continuously improve performance.
• Utilize good communication skills to assist in achieving company goals.
