This highly respected law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation & Employment Counsel to join their top-notch litigation team. This role is for you if you’re comfortable owning litigation from start to finish – developing strategy, managing discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, and representing clients in hearings, trials, and mediations. You’ll also be managing trial prep (including jury instructions and briefs), post-trial motions, and appellate work.
The cases are often high‑stakes and fast‑moving, so the firm is looking for someone who can quickly assess what matters in a case, make sound decisions without over complicating things, and communicate those decisions in direct, well‑organized ways. You should be comfortable working independently, setting priorities, moving cases forward, and spotting issues early, while also keeping colleagues in the loop and contributing to shared work.
This is a hybrid role, with three days in‑office. You’ll have reasonable billable hour requirements with generous bonuses for meeting expectations.
This firm has a 100‑year history of providing quality service to clients across the Portland Metro area. They’re well‑rounded, practicing everything from commercial litigation to estate planning, and excel at it all through ethical and innovative solutions. They’ve built a tenured staff with a family‑friendly culture and a commitment to employee well‑being. They work hard for their clients and celebrate their wins with fun parties, lunches, and events.
