Job Description

Job Duties

• Operate all equipment
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler
• Prepare product
• Receive and process telephone orders
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
• Training – orientation and training provided on the job

Communication Skills

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
• Verbal communication with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person

Essential Functions/Skills

• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
• Make correct monetary change
• Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and accurate movements
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen

Work Conditions

• Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks
• In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas
• Fumes from food odors, exposure to cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler, hot surfaces or tools up to 500°F or higher, sharp edges and moving mechanical parts
• Talking and hearing on telephone, near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks, depth perception, ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces

Physical Demands

• Standing – most tasks performed from a standing position; walking surfaces include ceramic tile bricks with linoleum in some food process areas; height of work surfaces 36–48 in
• Walking – generally short distances for short durations
• Sitting – paperwork normally completed in an office at a desk or table
• Lifting – bulk product deliveries unloaded by hand truck, cases up to 50 lb with dimensions up to 3 × 1.5 ft, stacked up to 72 in high
• Carrying – large cans (3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lb), trays of pizza dough (12 lb each) carried three at a time
• Pushing – moving trays on dollies, stack of trays approximately 24–30 in requiring up to 7.5 lb force; trays may also be pulled
• Climbing – infrequently navigate stairs or climb ladder for maintenance
• Stooping/Bending – forward bending at the waist necessary at pizza assembly station, duration 30–45 s repeated continuously; present at front counter and stocking ingredients
• Crouching/ Squatting – occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas

Additional Information – Reaching and Hand Tasks

• Reaching performed continuously up, down and forward; above 72 in to turn oven controls, change sign prices, lift/lower objects
• Hand tasks – eye‑hand coordination essential; frequent use of one or both hands; shaping pizza dough requires forceful use of forearms and wrists; manipulating pizza peel, rolling cutter, pinching in cardboard box assembly; grasping cans, phone, pizza cutter, pizza peel, pizza boxes
• Machines, tools, equipment – pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, pizza peel

Driver or Store Management Position Duties (if applicable)

• Deliver product by car and to customer door
• Deliver flyers and door hangers
• Requires valid driver’s license with safe driving record meeting company standards
• Access to insured vehicle for delivery
• Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area

Physical Demands – Delivery

• Carrying – carry pizzas, sides, beverages while walking and climbing
• Driving – deliver pizzas within designated delivery area, may make several deliveries per shift
• Walking – travel between store and vehicle and to customer location
• Climbing – may be required for five or more flights of stairs
