Site Manager at Gray

Working as a Site Manager, you will coordinate all phases of construction on-site, managing budget, schedule, subcontractors, inspections, quality control, and safety.

Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
  • Oversee all field activities from start-up to completion, including safety, quality, scheduling, logistics, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Maintain and track project schedule, create short-term lookahead plans, and provide real-time updates to project management.
  • Ensure safety standards are met, assist safety personnel, and address violations.
  • Train team members on Gray software and conduct regular site meetings.
  • Prepare project reports on safety, schedule, quality, and budget.
  • Collaborate with project managers on subcontractor buyouts and procurement schedules.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a safety culture and professional growth.
  • Manage project setup, daily site walks, communication, drawing reviews, and budget oversight.
  • Assist with subcontractor evaluation, report preparation, project closeout, and schedule management.
Qualifications (Requirements):
  • Minimum of 10+ years of construction experience.
  • Experience managing field activities on large projects ($10M+), with leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret architectural, engineering, and legal documents.
  • Strong people management skills and proficiency with basic computer applications, including Bluebeam, Excel, and SharePoint.
Additional Information:

This role requires travel across the U.S. and possibly internationally. Candidates can reside anywhere in the U.S., with travel as per Gray’s policy.

Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 100 lbs, and exposure to various environmental conditions. Overtime may be required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple support staff and oversee team performance, training, and development.
