Title:
Manager in Training, Full Time, Gold's Gym – Portland, OR, US
Gold's Gym PNW is looking for a Manager in Training to join our team. This role is an entry‑level management position designed to provide external candidates with a meaningful impact and a pathway to future General Manager roles.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead a high‑performance team, fostering a culture of excellence and inclusivity.
- Supervise 12–20 employees and drive employee development and promotion.
- Set, monitor and achieve revenue targets for memberships, fitness programs, and labor.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly club functions to maximize profitability.
- Communicate company updates, training, and policies to ensure team engagement.
- Drive continuous improvement across sales, service, and fitness categories.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to resolve obstacles and exceed guest/member expectations.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to club leaders to develop future leaders.
- 2–4 years of progressive management experience, ideally in retail, hospitality, or operations.
- Experience supervising 12–20 (or 15–20) employees with a track record of employee development.
- Strong focus on team member and customer retention.
- Ability to create an inclusive culture that aligns with company values.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Comfortable working day/night, weekends, and holidays.
- Full‑time role, flexible availability across weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Onsite work only; relocation assistance not provided.
