Experienced Welder

Overview

Responsible for various types of weld preparation, GTAW welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. Self-motivated people who want to make a difference should apply. Thin metal welding (less than .060") is a plus

• Proficient in assigned GTAW welding techniques with thin materials. SMAW welding experience a plus but not required
• Knowledge of different required filler materials for different applications
• Working knowledge of fixturing and welding machine set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.).
• Use of conventional and precision measuring instruments.
• Welding equipment maintenance.
• Grinder proficiency
• Perform physical inventory when required.
• Wear the proper and required safety equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Fill out and maintain work order paperwork.

3 years or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay is based on experience and ability to successfully complete required job tasks.

Must demonstrate the ability to pass ASME Sec IX weld test in the near future. Must be able to demonstrate ability to weld in all positions at time of interview

Regular daily routine requires contact with other employees, sales and management.

Performs tasks independently with periodic supervisory review/audit. Seeks guidance to assure complete and appropriate action.
