Shipping Supervisor

Job Overview

CF&I Steel, L.P. is looking for a Shipping Supervisor for the Seamless Mill team located in Pueblo, Colorado. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for all day‑to‑day manufacturing and quality operations on the seamless mill and will report directly to the General Supervisor for the Seamless Mill.

• Perform daily mill inspections focusing on safety and productivity, and coordinate with mill support groups to design and implement countermeasures.
• Conduct shift safety meetings and daily toolbox talks, train employees on safe work practices, and conduct daily safe job observations.
• Use LEAN tools from the Rocky Mountain Steel Business System to engage employees in continuous improvement of mill operations.
• Schedule and maintain shift manpower for mill operations and training.
• Manage an operational and quality team during manufacturing operations and perform operational maintenance of mechanical equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical systems).
• Use quality standards to evaluate product conformance and troubleshoot quality issues promptly.
• Maintain and correct electronic and written records including shift performance, heat traceability, and quality assurance.
• Work with shipping department and railroad to manage truck and rail transfers.

• Bachelor’s of Science Degree or equivalent experience.
• Three years of industrial supervisory experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Experience with Oracle, database development, statistical process control, process control, automation technologies, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Excellent planning, time‑management, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to organize and motivate production teams for safe, high‑quality results and maximum productivity.
• Strong verbal and written communication with all levels of personnel.
• Initiative to identify areas, propose, and implement solutions.

• $85,000 – $90,000 per year.
