A&K Designs, Inc is a family owned and operated sports apparel manufacturing company, proudly serving the Portland community for the last 35 years. We have a strong company culture that is committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that’s welcoming, respectful, and inclusive. Everything we produce has high visibility and we take pride in our quality, innovation, and on-time delivery.

We are moving forward, searching for new ways to improve what we do and who we are, and looking for energetic and engaged people to join our team.

Logistics Team Member

As a Receiving Specialist, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You’ll be the first point of contact for incoming shipments—carefully inspecting materials, verifying quality, and ensuring everything meets compliance standards. Your attention to detail will help maintain accurate inventory records and resolve any discrepancies with vendors. You’ll also collaborate closely with internal teams to make sure production has what it needs, when it needs it.

If you’re organized, proactive, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you!

Our regular schedule is Monday - Thursday, 7:00am to 4:30pm, Friday, 9:00am to 1:00pm.

Job duties may include:
  • Receive and inspect shipments:
Unload deliveries and verify materials against packing lists, purchase orders, and quality standards.
  • Resolve discrepancies quickly:
Communicate with suppliers and carriers to address damaged items or incorrect shipments.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records:
Enter data into ERP systems and track samples, raw materials, and finished goods.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy:
Perform regular cycle counts on company and customer-owned goods.
  • Collaborate across teams:
Keep Account Management, Development, Production, and Procurement informed and route materials promptly to the right departments.
What you will need to have:
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP experience (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
  • Show strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage inventory and documentation accurately.
  • Prioritize and problem-solve effectively, handling urgent issues and implementing solutions quickly.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, across teams and vendors.
  • Ability to lift items over 40 pounds and manage or move large shipments safely.
  • Operate equipment safely, with forklift certification required (or willingness to obtain).
What you'll get:
  • Medical, dental and vision with generous employer contribution
  • 401k with employer match
  • Two weeks paid time off
  • 8 company paid holidays
  • Employee Assistance Program

Day shift schedule:
Monday - Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm, Friday 9:00am to 1:00pm
