Position SummaryWe’re looking for a Production Technician to join our team! As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for picking orders, preparing lens blanks for production, quality inspections, packaging, shipping, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness. As a key member of our production team, you will work closely with the Production and Warehouse Manager and Supervisors to ensure that all orders are produced accurately and shipped on time.
You'll have the opportunity to contribute to our fast‑paced and exciting environment and be part of a team dedicated to delivering quality products to our customers. The earliest this position will start is January 5, 2026.
- Starting pay is $18/hour, increases to $19 after 6 months, increases to $20 after 1 year
- Winter shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

- Support the Production Team in ensuring all orders are produced accurately and shipped on time each day
- Handle all aspects of order flow as needed: printing orders, picking lens blanks and finished goods, loading and unloading trays, quality checks, packaging, and shipping final orders
- Operate lens edging equipment with a high level of accuracy and minimal waste
- Maintain a clean and well‑maintained production space
- Complete the daily checklist of activities (e.g., cleaning and calibrating machines, preparing packaging for the next day, queueing orders for overnight processing)
- Work closely with the Quality Department on maintaining quality control standards throughout production
- Work closely with the Production and Warehouse Manager to maintain inventory and order flow
- Keep the production area stocked with all necessary items, perform supply counts and solve any problems that arise
- Continually drive efficiencies and work closely with the Production Manager to develop production processes and systems that reduce costs and improve the customer experience
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision

- Basic computer and math skills required
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- 1+ years warehouse operations and light manufacturing experience preferred
- High school diploma (or GED) preferred
- Operating experience on optical lens edging or tracing equipment preferred
- Experience managing a wide range of production/warehousing activities (pick/pack/ship, QC control, order processing, etc.)
- Experience with fulfillment activity such as picking, packing, and shipping
- Quality control testing and evaluation

This position will work in the office and adheres to all COVID‑19 safety practices. It operates in a production and lab setting using optical testing equipment and works around manufacturing equipment. The environment is often loud due to air compressors. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and scanners. We operate under Good Manufacturing Practices, which may require wearing safety glasses and closed‑toe shoes.
