Ag-Mill Operator (3rd shift)

Position:
Ag-Mill Operator (3rd shift) at Ash Grove Cement Company.

Shift: Monday‑Friday 11:00 pm – 7:00 am. Pay: $31.43 per hour + $1.45 shift differential.

Reports to:

Production Supervisor. Collective bargaining position.

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Operate Ag‑Lime mills, dryers, and related equipment to produce a quality product that meets customer specifications.
• Use a front‑end loader.
• Maintain an accurately written log of Ag‑Lime production operations.
• Lubricate equipment as designated by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Load trucks.
• Perform various cleanup tasks.
• Observe all safety rules and keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

• High school graduation or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, charts, and tables.
• Ability to safely and effectively operate a man lift, scissor lift, fork truck, drill press, ironworker, rigging equipment, air, and electric power tools, cutting torch, welder, general hand tools, chain fall, and related equipment.
• Willingness to learn; training will be provided.
• Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise required. Exposure to high elevations of up to 90 feet in height, all weather conditions, and normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
