General Overview
Production Operator 3 in the Operations (OPS) – Production (PRD) functional area. Works directly under general supervision, responsible for moderately complex manufacturing tasks that require judgment and problem‑solving.
SummaryPerforms tasks such as hand soldering, manual and automated assembly, equipment setup and maintenance, product inspection, electronic and functional testing, troubleshooting, and documenting results. May demonstrate work methods to new employees and serve as a resource for solving non‑standard situations.
Detailed Description- Hand soldering and manual assembly of components.
- Setup, operation and basic maintenance of custom, semi‑automatic, or automated assembly equipment and tools.
- Operation of functional test units and automated diagnostic programs.
- Shifting between product lines or operations as schedule dictates.
- Visual, automated, electronic, and mechanical inspection of finished products.
- Troubleshooting and communicating issues related to routine and basic defects.
- Demonstrating work methods to new employees and coaching teammates.
- Required site‑specific certifications.
- General knowledge of product process flow and quality specifications.
- Understanding of manufacturing information systems.
- Ability to recognize and communicate operational problems to the Team Leader.
- Competence in manual assembly and high‑quality production within defined time frames.
- Knowledge of electrical, electromechanical, pneumatically operated systems and their principles.
- Proficiency with personal computers and related applications.
- Maintenance of detailed, accurate and organized records.
- Effective communication with internal customers and team members.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing systems.
- Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, chemicals, machinery, and temperature extremes.
- Repetitive motions requiring manual dexterity, precise hand/eye coordination, and sustained visual concentration.
- Periodic light and occasional heavy manual effort, including lifting objects.
- Three to five years of relevant experience.
- High school diploma with additional courses or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
