Assistant - Bag Machine

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup, preparing machinery for operation by setting up tools, loading materials, and adjusting settings as directed by the primary operator.
• Supply raw material or components specific to the bag machine as needed, ensuring a steady flow of materials to maintain efficient production levels.
• Monitor bag machine operations, observing the machine during operation to ensure it is running as expected; notify the primary operator or supervisor of any issues or malfunctions.
• Assist with routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, or replacing parts; adjust machine settings; and perform other standard practices to ensure proper operation of the machine and maintain quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot minor technical issues; perform minor repairs or adjustments under the guidance of the primary operator or maintenance personnel.
• Have the ability to fill‑in or temporarily run the machine during shift changes or as necessary.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by performing standard tasks such as removing debris or waste materials.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries; wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by safety policies and report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Complete production logs or reports as required for documentation purposes, including but not limited to production output, machine downtime, or any maintenance or repair activities.
• Effectively work with other departments or team members—including maintenance, material handling, quality, inventory, scheduling, supervisors, customer service, or any other members of the production team or management team, or as directed by the supervisor.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Shifts and hours could vary depending on production requirements. Shift 1: 06:00 am – 02:00 pm. Shift 2: 02:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Shift 3: 10:00 pm – 06:00 am.
