Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Opti Staffing Group is hiring for a growing custom metal fabrication company in Northeast Portland. This shop works with advanced metal processing equipment and takes pride in producing quality, precision-fabricated parts. If you have experience operating CNC laser equipment and want to work with a skilled team in a hands‑on manufacturing environment, this could be a great opportunity!
What You’ll DoSet up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment to produce metal parts to specifications. Load materials, monitor cutting operations, and unload finished parts. Read blueprints, work orders, and production drawings to ensure accuracy. Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain cut quality and production efficiency. Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and quality. Troubleshoot basic machine issues and communicate equipment concerns.
Follow safety procedures and maintain an organized work area. Work alongside fabrication and production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Starting pay of $25+/hr DOE. Monday–Friday schedule, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Opportunity to work with advanced CNC metal processing equipment. Hands‑on work in a custom metal fabrication shop. What You Need to HaveThe Musts
- Previous CNC laser operation experience.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow work instructions and meet production deadlines.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Preferred
- CNC laser setup experience.
- Experience with Trumpf laser systems.
- Basic CNC programming experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Experience with sheet metal or plate fabrication.
- Knowledge of measuring tools and part inspection.
- Trumpf 5000-watt laser with automatic loader tables.
- Whitney 3700 ATC CNC punch/plasma machine.
- Kinetic K4000 plate processing combination machine with high-definition plasma cutting and drilling capabilities.
