The Director of Corporate Communications is the senior‑most communications leader at Daimler Truck North America (DTNA), responsible for shaping and executing the company’s internal and external communications strategy. This role ensures alignment with Daimler Truck’s global messaging while tailoring communications to the North American market. The position plays a critical role in reputation management, executive communications, media relations, crisis response, and employee engagement.

- Develop and lead DTNA’s comprehensive communications strategy, ensuring alignment with Daimler Truck’s global brand and messaging.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to DTNA’s President & CEO and senior leadership team. Craft speeches, presentations, and messaging for internal and external audiences.
- Act as DTNA’s Company Spokesperson by managing relationships with key North American media outlets and journalists. Oversee press releases, media events, and proactive storytelling to enhance DTNA’s reputation.
- Drive employee engagement through effective internal communications, including town halls, newsletters pédagog, corporate events and leadership messaging.
- Lead communication response during crises or sensitive issues, ensuring timely, transparent, and coordinated messaging.
- Position DTNA as a North American industry thought leader through strategic content, executive visibility, and participation in key industry forums.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing communications team. Foster collaboration across departments and with global counterparts.
- Work closely with Daimler Truck AG’s global communications team to ensure consistency and leverage global campaigns and resources.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Games, Journalism, or related field;
Master’s preferred. - 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, marketing communications or a combination of experiences with heavy emphasis on internal and external communications, preferably in heavy duty truck industry or closely related industry.
- Proven leadership in managing complex communications strategies across global organizations.
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Experience in media relations, crisis communications, and executive support.
- Strong understanding of digital and social media platforms.
- Ability to navigate matrixed organizations and influence at all levels.
- Please note this role is open for local contract only and not eligible for Expat assignment.
