Kids Ministry Age Group Lead

The Kids Ministry Age Group Lead is a pastoral and administrative leader who helps build and lead Mannahouse Kids environment from Nursery through 5th Grade during weekend services. This role provides direct leadership for an assigned age group, ensuring every child experiences excellent, discipleship-focused ministry in a safe and engaging environment.

Working closely with the Kids Center of Excellence (COE) and Kids Operations Specialist (OS), this position assists in developing and supporting Dream Teams, implementing systems of excellence, and fostering a healthy culture among families, volunteers, and staff.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Planning Center and Google Workspace preferred
• Must be available to work Sundays and special ministry events as needed
• Demonstrate discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information
• Ability to motivate and coordinate volunteers with clarity and encouragement
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
• Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ; alignment with Mannahouse’s mission, vision, and values
• Must be a member in good standing of Mannahouse, including consistent attendance, ministry participation, and tithing

• Reports weekly attendance to the Kids OS and Kids COE
• Develops weekly service agendas focused on age-appropriate discipleship
• Schedules age-specific teams through Planning Center – aiming for 3-month lead time
• Drafts and sends weekly communication updates to Sunday teams
• Maintains accurate records and assists with ministry planning and documentation
• Provides clear leadership and direction for assigned age groups during Sunday services
• Ensures all kids' spaces are prepared before services and properly reset afterward
• Maintains the quality, safety, and structure of ministry environments
• Offers consistent, creative discipleship teaching for the assigned age group
• Gives feedback and ministry updates to the Kids COE as needed
• Organizes and maintains ministry supplies, storage, and inventory systems
• Communicates clearly and effectively with adults, teenagers, and children
• Serves as a liaison between Kids Pastor, parents, volunteers, and staff for logistical support
• Protects and promotes culture and values of Mannahouse Kids in all interactions
• Attends weekly meetings with the Kids COE and Kids OS
• Assists with the development and scheduling of leader training and team development opportunities
• Helps communicate training dates, materials, and follow-up for age-specific leaders
• Supports and collaborates with Dream Team members and Ministry Leaders to ensure operational and discipleship excellence on Sundays
• Recruits, coordinates, and mobilizes volunteer teams to accomplish shared goals
• Fosters a positive, collaborative environment that encourages ownership, unity, and excellence among leaders and volunteers
• Models servant leadership and spiritual maturity for teams and children alike
