RN Staff Nurse - Neurotrauma ICU
Legacy Health is a Level-One Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a respiratory failure & ECMO specialty center. The Neuro Trauma ICU at Emanuel, remodeled in 2013, is a 28,000‑square‑foot, 24‑bed unit that delivers state‑of‑the‑art care and ranks among the highest success rates for U.S. ICUs.
It also served as the primary COVID ICU since 2020.
- Our critical‑care nurses collaborate in a multidisciplinary setting with a "can do, will do, does" attitude.
- Opportunities for advanced training in Trauma Resuscitation, ECMO, Stroke Response, Critical Care Transport, and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy.
Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participate as a member of the healthcare team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee, as defined by relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care following established patient‑care standards for Legacy Health System, including those for patient assessment and transfer.
QualificationsEducation:
- As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.
- One‑year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or an equivalent nursing program.
- Additional clinical experience requirements may vary by department.
- This NTICU opening requires 2 years of general ICU experience or 1 year of trauma/neuro ICU focused experience.
Skills:
- Positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
- Current applicable state RN license required.
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.
USD $54.37 – $81.21 per hour.
