RN Staff Nurse - Medical Acute Care
Legacy Health invites applications for the RN Staff Nurse - Medical Acute Care position at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in North Portland. Legacy Emanuel is a Level 1 Trauma Center, Regional Burn Center and supports both adult and children’s care. The nursing philosophy focuses on patients and families, with a team that includes trauma, heart care, burns, significant wounds, stroke, and brain surgery.
Unit 15 (MACU) is located on the first floor and houses 29 private beds with remote telemetry monitoring.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit, collaborating with the healthcare team under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient health following established patient‑care standards for Legacy Health System, including patient assessment and transfer procedures.
QualificationsEducation
Licensed RN. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.
ExperienceOne year of registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration. Additional clinical experience requirements may vary depending on the department.
Knowledge & Skills- Positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
- Current applicable state RN license required.
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.
USD $54.37 – $81.21 per hour.
