Assistant RN Manager (ANM) – Medical Surgical Unit at Providence Portland Medical Center

Full‑time, day shift position offering a flexible day shift schedule Monday–Friday. We are offering a hiring bonus of $8,000 and relocation assistance for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a professional Registered Nurse reporting to the unit director/manager who uses the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities within the assigned shift. The ANM supports the director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit and provides managerial presence for all shifts.

Duties include:

• Managing clinical and non‑clinical caregivers and providing input for performance evaluation.
• Ensuring compliance with professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implementing and monitoring compliance with policies, processes, and clinical priorities.
• Coaching, mentoring, and collaborating to deliver quality health care to patients.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BS or BSN). Registered Nurses employed in this role prior to November 1 2024 are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree, but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment.
• Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.

• 3 or more years of acute‑care RN work experience.
• Relief Charge or greater level of leadership experience.

Portland, Oregon – 4805 NE Glisan St. Pay range: $59.39 – $93.75 per hour (base pay). Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
