Responsibilities- Provides support and managerial assistance to the Nurse Manager in overseeing daily unit operations, including:
- Staffing and scheduling
- Orientation and onboarding
- Education and competency assessment
- Budget monitoring
- Establishing and maintaining patient‑care standards
- Promoting evidence‑based practice
- Implementing quality‑improvement initiatives
- Acts as a key resource and backup support for unit staff and departmental operations
- Facilitates departmental workflow in collaboration with the Charge Nurse
- Serves as the primary resource for staff and the organization in the Manager’s absence
- Reports directly to the Nurse Manager and assists in overall department management
- Academic degree in nursing (BSN or MSN/MN) required.
- MSN/MN preferred.
- Relevant clinical nursing experience at proficient-to-expert level of practice required with two years supervisory, leadership, or charge nurse experience in health care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and time‑management skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of operations, including staffing, scheduling, productivity management, workflow planning, and staff development.
- Proficient in use of PC‑based computer software including Microsoft Office applications.
- Current applicable state RN license required.
- Current BLS for Provider certification from the American Heart Association required.
Pay Range USD $68.83 - $102.56 /Hr.
