As a Residential Care Facility RN, you’ll support individuals transitioning from detox into extended residential treatment, providing skilled medical and medication care in a setting built for healing, dignity, and stability.

This role blends strong clinical practice with relationship‑based care. You’ll work alongside an interdisciplinary team serving clients with substance use disorders and co‑occurring mental health conditions, helping create a safe, structured, home‑like environment where recovery can take root. What You’ll Do
  • Complete nursing assessments at admission and develop individualized health and wellness plans
  • Coordinate and manage day‑to‑day medical and medication needs in a residential setting
  • Triage medical and behavioral health concerns and determine the appropriate level of care
  • Implement physician orders and collaborate closely with medical and clinical staff
  • Oversee medication administration, storage, documentation, and compliance
  • Monitor vital signs and provide urgent or emergent medical assessment as needed

Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday OFF)

Location: 16th & Burnside Recovery Center (1616

E. Burnside St., Portland, OR 97214)

Compensation: $50.17 per hour

Seniority Bid Window Closes: 12/29/2025

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Oregon License.
  • Maintains the required licensure/certification in good standing.
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Experience in behavioral health services preferred.
  • Past experience with complex clients preferred.
  • Adheres to Central City Concern’s drug‑free workplace policies. Must refrain from unlawful manufacture, distribution, possession, or use of controlled substances or alcohol in the workplace.
  • Meets CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA.
  • Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen, TB test, and background check, including clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit.
  • Has, or can obtain, BLS Certification prior to start date.
  • Must not have a DUI or felony conviction within the previous 3 years, or a conviction under the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.
  • If using a vehicle for agency use, must possess a current driver’s license and maintain vehicle insurance of a minimum of $100,000/$300,000 personal auto liability coverage.
  • Will be required to carry an agency cell phone for work use, which will be provided by Central City Concern.
  • Has the ability to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects, and climb stairs with reasonable or no accommodation.
  • Adheres to agency’s non‑discrimination policies.
  • Can effectively interact with co‑workers and clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
