Registered Nurse – Endoscopy

Are you a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with experience in endoscopy? Join Portland Gastroenterology Center as a Registered Nurse – Endoscopy and play a key role in providing high-quality patient care in our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).

As a Registered Nurse in our Endoscopy unit, you will provide direct patient care before, during, and after procedures. You will support physicians and technicians, ensure patient safety, and deliver excellent care with professionalism and compassion.

• Perform admission, endoscopy, or recovery nursing duties as assigned.
• Provide emotional support and clear explanations to patients about their procedures.
• Administer medications following protocol and assist during procedures.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and notify physicians as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout their time in the ASC.
• Participate in unit quality improvement activities and training.
• Maintain proper use of emergency equipment and infection control protocols obtenu.
• Assist with special projects and assignments as needed.

• Education
  :
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; graduate study preferred.
• Experience
  :
  • Minimum of three years in a medical/surgical setting required.
  • Endoscopy experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification s:
  • Active Maine Registered Nursing license.

  • Current BLS and ACLS certification (required).
  • CGRN certification encouraged.

• Clinical setting with extended periods of standing and patient interaction.
• Occasional lifting/moving of up to 25 pounds.
• OSHA Category A:
  Employees in this role will be offered Hepatitis B vaccination.

• Pay grade 27
  • $36.50/hour minimum
  • $42.78/hour maximum
  • Pay is commensurate with education and experience
