The Pediatric Emergency Department (PED) provides a multidisciplinary service for pediatric and young adult patients ages birth through 19 years, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Care in the Pediatric ED encompasses level 1 Trauma entries, acute care for medical and behavioral illness and injuries. In addition, the Pediatric ED provides Observation Care for patients requiring anticipated admissions
