American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications, with first-time travelers considered if they have 3+ years of experience.
Details- Work in a Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
- Maintain a 4:1 patient ratio
- Night shift schedule of 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
- Required to work every other weekend
- Floating to other units and sister facilities based on unit needs and skill set
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic for charting
- Active RN license (Compact must be in hand at submission)
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (NIHSS and TNCC preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience required (first-time travelers accepted with 3+ years of experience)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must have a vehicle for this assignment
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Provide emergency care for a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
- Perform triage and maintain isolation precautions/PPE standards
- Facility is a short-term acute care hospital with 418 staffed beds
- Any color scrubs accepted
- No parking fee at this facility
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius
- First-time travelers with 3+ years of experience will be considered
