Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Nurse in the Portland metropolitan area. This position involves providing specialized cardiac surgical care in a short-term acute care facility, with responsibilities including assisting in complex cardiovascular procedures, patient monitoring, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Education Requirements:
  
  Valid State license;
  Compact license must be in hand at submission.
• Minimum Years of
  
  Experience:
  
  1 year in a relevant clinical setting.
• Location Requirements:
  Candidates must be within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
• Experience Requirement:
  Travel experience required.
• Schedule:
  
  Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include assisting with cardiac surgeries such as aortic aneurysm repairs, atrial septal defect repairs, coronary artery bypass grafts, heart transplant procedures, and use of specialized cardiac equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and ventricular assist devices.
• Candidates should have scrub experience in cardiovascular surgery and be able to float between units as needed; floating to sister facilities may be required.
• Submission Requirements:
  Candidates must include responses regarding previous work at a Providence facility and provide two references covering the past year.
