American Traveler is hiring a Medical Surgical Oncology RN for a night shift hospital position requiring at least 1 year of oncology nursing experience and Epic charting experience.

• Inpatient Medical Surgical Oncology unit in a short-term acute care hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Block scheduling required
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required per union contract
• Floating to other units and sister facilities required based on skill set
• Epic EMR used for charting

• Active RN license (Compact must be in hand at submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with oncology care including chemotherapy administration, port access/management, and central line/PICC line care preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, infusion pump management, and blood product administration preferred
• Experience caring for patients with various cancer types (breast, lung, colorectal, leukemia, and others) preferred
• Experience with wound care, ostomy care, and isolation/neutropenic precautions preferred
• Experience with psychosocial and symptom management care, including hospice and advanced directives, preferred
• Must have a vehicle for this assignment

• Provide direct patient care to oncology patients including chemotherapy, pain management, and post-surgical care
• Support patients and families with symptom management, education, and end-of-life care as needed
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests should be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
• Candidates within a 50-mile radius may be accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they do not live within 50 miles of the facility
• No fee for parking at this facility
