American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and a compact RN license in hand.

• Medical Surgical unit in a short-term acute care hospital with 418 staffed beds
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating between units required
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic for charting

• Active compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• OR RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Experience with rapid response/code teams
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required
• Peripheral line care and management experience required
• Respiratory skills including nasal cannula and oxygen administration required
• Non-invasive airway management experience required
• Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge required
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit including monitoring and emergency response
• Scrub color policy allows any color for Med/Surg staff
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; limited flexibility once contract begins
• Travelers may be required to float to sister facilities near the contracted location
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No fee for parking
