East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District has a mission to help people care for land and water by providing free education programs and practical assistance to help residents, nonprofits, landowners and land managers:

Position Overview

EMSWCD is seeking a passionate and motivated individual to execute projects related to habitat restoration, invasive plant species control, and to provide guidance related to such projects to a diverse audience.

The Conservation Technician, Healthy Habitats position includes outreach to landowners, identification/ mapping of noxious weed species using geospatial tools and control work in forested ecosystems, riparian areas, roadside right of ways and other residential and public properties. This position is full-time, non-exempt. Pay is commensurate with experience and falls between $ per hour. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis through Dec.

19, 2025.

The work includes outreach to landowners, identification and mapping of noxious weed species using geospatial tools, as well as control work in forested ecosystems, riparian areas, roadside right of ways, and other residential and public properties.

This position is offered within the Rural Lands program of the organization at the Technician level. This position is a full-time, non-exempt (paid hourly) position.

Annual Wage Range:$50,826 – $73,308
