Research Scientist
The Mass Spec Facility Manager supervises the maintenance and training for the liquid chromatography (LC-MS) and gas chromatography (GC-MS) instrumentation in the Chemistry department, including a high-resolution Bruker LC-MS/MS to be acquired in 2024 as part of an NSF Major Research Instrumentation project. They also train students on basic LC-MS use, and assist with managing other analytical research instrumentation based on their expertise.
Applicants must have a Ph.D in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related area; applicants must possess the skills needed to organize and manage assigned duties. Applicants with prior experience with managing mass spectrometry instrumentation or performing proteomics analysis are particularly encouraged to apply.
