• Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag while ensuring no damage.
• Use best practices for bagging items in reusable, plastic, and paper bags.
• Assist customers with moving merchandise from the bottom of the bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their vehicles.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inventory checks.
• Inform customers about grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves accurately.
• Gather and return bascarts to designated areas.
• Clean spills, pick up trash, and maintain interior and exterior store cleanliness.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment, noting maintenance needs, and notify the appropriate department or manager.
• Create a welcoming environment, answering product questions within the department and across the store.
• Follow all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a nonconfrontational, cooperative manner.
• Maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve customer issues.
