The Beauty Advisor (BA) provides an exceptional experience for all guests by engaging each guest, conducting cashier tasks, keeping fixtures stocked, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The BA supports leadership through performance, people, and process focus, requiring a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and aptitude to learn and communicate product knowledge.

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni‑channel sales, and retail shrink goals.
• Provide exceptional service by greeting and engaging guests, personalizing service, answering product questions, informing about promotions, and recommending Ulta products/services.
• Handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and online orders courteously.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest experience.
• Book appointments and support services and in‑store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while achieving sales goals.
• Stay informed about new and existing products and services, including ingredient benefits, to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

• Create an inclusive environment supporting teammates, peers, and guests.
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training, brand and category education for professional development.

• Know and enforce Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Adhere to the dress code.
• Drive sales by keeping the work area replenished, signed, faced, and ensuring testers are available.
• Maintain store cleanliness on the sales floor, restrooms, cash wrap, backroom, and break area.
• Complete merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and shipment processing/unloading using Ulta technology.
• Protect company assets through loss prevention best practices while providing guest service.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• High school diploma preferred.

• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

• Passion for guest service and selling competency.
• Proficiency with basic technology (e.g., POS system, Apple devices).
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting.
• Continuous or frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.
