Shortage Control Associate

Join our team and help create a secure shopping environment by monitoring entrances, deterring theft, and engaging customers and associates with confidence and friendliness.

• Maintain a professional appearance and presence at store entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas.
• Use clear, friendly communication to interact with customers and associates while promoting safety.
• Monitor store entrances throughout each shift to reduce opportunities for theft, shoplifting, and other dishonest activities.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious individuals to the Manager on Duty.
• Support store loss prevention programs and participate in store rallies to reinforce theft‑prevention strategies.
• Conduct bag and package checks for associates, ensuring compliance with safety and security standards.
• Train associates on shortage reduction programs and processes, role‑modeling safety and prompt safe‑practice fixes.
• Provide feedback and maintain confidentiality around store security incidents.

• 1+ year of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor the store environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the capacity to foster positive business relationships.
• Ability to analyze business trends and exhibit a positive, energetic demeanor.
• Experience with confidentiality, fast‑paced, high‑pressure settings, and disciplined decision‑making.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
