Job Description & How to Apply Below

Build powerful relationships. Help protect the planet. Lead the sales team behind extraordinary journeys.

At Wild Nectar Collection, relationships and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do.

Our travelers trust us with substantial investments and some of the most important journeys of their lives. We pair carefully cultivated supplier relationships with rigorous sustainability research through our proprietary Necta Mark™ Eco Score operator assessment system, creating travel grounded in expertise, trust, and stewardship.

As we grow, we need a Sales Manager who can extend that same spirit of trust to our future Travel Curators, helping them build authentic client relationships, become exceptional salespeople, and thrive within a supportive team.

Timing: This is a staged growth role beginning with a small paid commitment of approximately 20 hours per month. The position is intended to expand into a full-time Sales Manager role as Wild Nectar reaches its next stage of growth, although the timing of that expansion cannot be guaranteed.

We’re hiring ahead of that growth so our future Sales Manager can learn the company and help build the foundation before lead volume and the sales team expand.

This is an in-person role based in Portland, Oregon
. It is not a remote position.

What You’ll Do

You will work closely with the founder to turn Wild Nectar’s relationship-based approach to luxury travel sales into a repeatable method.

You will:

  • Personally sell complex, high-value luxury, adventure, expedition, and custom travel.
  • Document and improve our sales process from discovery and qualification through proposal, follow-up, and closing.
  • Build training, tools, templates, standards, and CRM practices for future Travel Curators.
  • Recruit, train, and coach a Portland-based sales team as we grow.
  • Review pipelines and client interactions and help Travel Curators become exceptional relationship-based sellers.
  • Create a sales culture grounded in trust, accountability, excellent judgment, and genuine care for both travelers and team members.
  • Work closely with Operations to strengthen booking processes, client handoffs, and the complete traveler experience.

This is a builder role. You will help create much of the sales organization you will eventually lead.

Who We’re Looking For

First and foremost, you can sell.

You have personally sold complex, high-value travel directly to affluent clients, ideally luxury, expedition, adventure, safari, cruise, or custom international travel.

You know how to build trust, listen beyond the initial request, interpret what a traveler truly wants, guide clients through substantial decisions, follow up consistently, and close without making the relationship feel transactional.

You may already have sales-management experience, or you may be an exceptional senior salesperson who has coached or mentored others and is ready to build and lead a team. Your management experience may come from travel or an earlier career in another industry.

You are especially likely to thrive here if you:

  • Can explain why you are successful at selling and turn that knowledge into a method others can learn.
  • Are a supportive, kind manager who combines clear accountability with genuine care for people.
  • Have strong CRM and pipeline-management experience.
  • Communicate exceptionally well in writing and conversation.
  • Are warm, candid, emotionally intelligent, organized, and dependable.
  • Enjoy building systems and processes that do not yet exist.
  • Are comfortable with technology and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Care about conservation, cultural respect, and the future of travel.
  • Want to work closely with a Portland-based team in person.

An existing network or book of business is welcome but not required. We are looking first for…
