Armed Tactical Security Supervisor – Garda World (Downtown Portland, OR)
We are looking for an experienced, mission‑driven professional to lead our Armed Tactical Security team. Join us to protect people and assets while working closely with the Portland Police Bureau under the Portland Clean & Safe program.
CompensationHourly Rate: $34.50 per hour
Shift: Friday through Tuesday, 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (Swing, 40 hr/week)

Lead a team of armed guards, schedule shifts, and maintain daily logs. Work in close collaboration with the Portland Police Bureau, coordinate communications via radio, and ensure compliance with Oregon State law and DPSST standards.
Responsibilities- Lead and assign day‑to‑day responsibilities to the team
- Schedule shifts and generate performance reports
- Conduct continuing in‑service training and crew/program evaluations
- Take disciplinary action when necessary
- Provide armed visual security services to secure the environment
- Attempt to stop criminal conduct and street disorder
- Report criminal activity to the police and avoid direct participation in arrests unless directed by officers
- Maintain a daily log and file incident reports
- Use radio communications effectively with supervisors and public agencies
- Commit to further training in de‑escalation, mental health crisis response, trauma‑informed care, and social service referrals
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- Extensive screening process completion
- Background in military or law enforcement, or a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Political Science, or Security Administration
- Active Armed Security License
- Valid state driver’s license with clean MVR
- Minimum age 21 years
- Strong customer service skills and ability to multitask
