Garda World – Downtown Portland, OR Public Safety/Flex Armed Supervisor – Now Hiring for Portland Clean & Safe.

Location:

Downtown Portland, OR. Compensation: $31.50 per hour. Shift: Varies (Full-time).

We are seeking a seasoned security professional with military, law enforcement, or armed guard experience to lead and assign day‑to‑day responsibilities to the team. You will work closely with the Portland Police Bureau, provide armed visual security services, and maintain daily logs and incident reports.

• Lead and assign day‑to‑day responsibilities to the security crew.
• Schedule, performance reports, continuing in‑service training, crew and program evaluation, and disciplinary action.
• Remain uniformed and radio‑equipped to communicate with the Portland Police Bureau Clean & Safe Officers.
• Provide armed visual security services and respond to calls for service, using a provided vehicle.
• Attempt to stop criminal conduct and street disorder.
• Work closely with police to report activities; avoid participation in arrests except emergencies or as directed.
• Engage in problem‑solving with police and community policing strategies.
• Maintain daily logs and file incident reports.
• Use radio communications to shift supervisors, police officers, and other public agencies.
• Abide by Oregon State law and DPSST certification standards; commit to further training in de‑escalation, mental health crisis response, trauma‑informed care, and social service safety net referrals.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of an extensive screening process.
• Military, law enforcement experience, or a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Political Science, or Security Administration.
• Armed Security License.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Minimum age 21.

• Daily Pay – access pay on day 1.
